After months of renovation, the center reopened in November 2022. Through its interactive areas, exhibits, and 9K virtual reality scenic video, tourists can learn about Baisha Bay and its ecology in various fun and informational ways.

For the Baisha Bay Visitor Center project, Optoma collaborated InWheel Ltd. again to create a theater that will showcase the beauty of Taiwan’s north coast and Baisha Bay.

The best approach for the immersive video viewing experience at the Baisha Bay Visitor Center is pairing a curved projection screen with projectors equipped with adjustment flexibility and large-scale projection capability.

Presenting projection of a 9K Ultra HD virtual reality video in a limited space means the installation distance and lens pairing have to be extremely precise.

Brightness, color, contrast, light source, and factors that directly impact the projection quality of immersive virtual reality videos are vital considerations when choosing projectors for the Baisha Bay Visitor Center.

With theater planning and space limitation in mind, ZU1050 projector paired with a A25 short throw lens fits the requirements and can take on installation challenges.

ZU1050 is an ultra-bright 10,000 lumens projector featuring an industry unique MultiColor Laser (MCL) Technology. This lamp-less laser light source delivers a wider color gamut while maintaining high brightness. Optoma’s DuraCore technology ensure reliability, consistent brightness, and minimal maintenance.

Designed to suit challenging installation environments, ZU1050 supports 360-degree & portrait projection, 24/7 operation capabilities and 6 optional lenses to satisfy the needs of this project.

With Optoma’s efficiency in lens testing, projector positioning, and equipment installation, the teams achieved the best viewing experience for the audience and completed projection installation within the project timeframe.
